CSM Daniel B. Dennison
Command Sgt. Maj. Daniel B. Dennison is a native of Youngstown, Ohio. He enlisted in the U. S. Army as an Infantryman in June 1992. His most recent assignment was at Fort Benning, Ga., as the 2nd Battalion, 47th Infantry Regiment command sergeant major.
Since entering the U.S. Army, Dennison has held a number of assignments, including A Co, 3-504 PIR Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Northern Warfare Training Center, Fort Greely, Alaska; HHC 1-502 Infantry Regiment, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; A Co, 4th Ranger Training Battalion, Fort Benning, Georgia; C Co, 1-87th Inf. Reg., Fort Drum, New York; B Co, 1-87th Inf. Reg., Fort Drum, NY; HHC 1BCT, Fort Drum, NY; and United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Fort Bliss, Texas.
He has held the positions of team leader 82d Airborne Division; squad leader 82d ABN DIV; Scout squad leader 101st ABN DIV; scout platoon sergeant 101st ABN DIV, Cold Weather Tactics & Mountaineering Instructor NWTC, Fort Greely, AK; Ranger instructor & senior Ranger instructor 4th RTBN FT Benning, GA; Platoon Sergeant 10th Mountain Division, scout platoon sergeant 10th MTN DIV; first sergeant C, B companies 1-87th 10th MTN DIV; first sergeant HHC 1BCT 10th MTN DIV and command sergeant major 2nd Bn., 47th Inf. Reg.
Deployments include Jungle Operations Center Panama, Joint Readiness Training Center, Infantry Company Course NWTC, Multi National Forces and Observers Sinai Egypt 05-06 & 99-00, Baghdad Iraq 05-06, Kirkuk Iraq 07-08, and Northern Afghanistan 10-11.
His military education includes: Airborne school, Dragon Gunner Course, Combat Lifesavers course, Air Assault School, Ranger School, Jumpmaster School, Tactics Considerations course, Total Army Instructors course, Military Mountaineering Basic/Advance course, Winter Tactics course, Infantry Company Course winter course, Military Mountaineering Summer/Winter Instructors course, all Noncommissioned Officer schools to include the First Sergeant course and United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. He is also in the final stages of completing a Bachelor of Business and Management.
