Color casing signifies 173rd OEF transition The 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team held a Casing of the Colors ceremony Tuesday at Caserma Ederle's Hoekstra Field to represent the transition of its battalions to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom X.
Daisy Troop 62 members presented tokens of appreciation to Caserma Ederle's Veterans of Foreign Wars representative, during their weekly meeting at the Vicenza Elementary School Tuesday. The girls learned about what it means to be a veteran.
Soldiers and spouses began getting ready for the deployment this week at the Pre-Deployment Processing center. The PDP is a one-stop-shop for readiness, with Soldiers and families able to get all their paperwork in order prior to deployment.
